Situated at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, and enjoying the world’s most superb climate, the Bundaberg Region is a provincial hub renowned for the friendliness of its residents, its limitless economic opportunities and a genuinely affordable cost of living.
Bundaberg Regional Council encompasses the towns of Childers, Gin Gin, Bundaberg City, Bargara and other delightful coastal and hinterland communities. The Bundaberg region is located in the heart of a rich sugar and horticultural belt supported by a growing manufacturing sector. Residents of the region enjoy easy access to a wide variety of services and vital infrastructure. These include three major hospitals, public schools and private colleges, and major campuses of CQ University and Wide Bay Institute of TAFE.
The city is a vital regional business hub for Queensland, boasting excellent shopping, sporting, cultural and tourism facilities and has become a popular venue for the staging of conferences and major events.

This resource has been the initiative of Bundaberg Region Learning Community and Seniors Networks, and the Bundaberg Regional Council.
